What exactly is Quilt 'n Stitch Marketplace?
Quilt 'n' Stitch Marketplace is modeled after it's sister site Make Mine Pink. Our goal is to build the QNS Marketplace in much the same way that we grew MMP. Shoppers will come to QNS to find
quality products and services that are backed with customer service
compared to none.
Do I need a Quilting or Needlework Business to have a shoppe on Quilt 'n' Stitch?
The focus of QNS is to bring Quilt and Needlework Shoppes together with consumers, all in one Marketplace. We plan to keep the focus very much on fiber arts in the QNS Community. If you are a quilter, offer Quilting Services, Offer Needlework supplies, needlework services, design patterns or offer fiber art products that are for sale, you are eligible to apply for membership. All applications will be juried for quality and appropriate placement in the QNS Community.
Do you need to have a web site to join Quilt 'n' Stitch Marketplace?
Absolutely not! We have several levels of membership at QNS, all offering a Shoppe Page where you can sell your products directly from QNS. You just need a paypal account to accept payments. (All payments go directly to you.) As QnS grows, we will add additional levels of membership.
Whatever level you join at Quilt 'n' Stitch, You are making a wise investment in the success of your business.
Do I have to pay for my membership all at once?
No - While we do have levels that are based on an annual fee
structure, we also offer a monthly membership that is designed to give
you/your business an opportunity to give QNS a test run while at the
same time offering an affordable payment solution. See our Monthly Shoppe Level.
Are there listing fees or other fees other than membership?
No, there are no other fees associated with selling your products.
Once your membership is paid you can begin to sell your products and have the funds sent directly to
your own personal paypal account. QNS does not charge listing fees or
charge a percentage of your sales.
How soon will I know if I have been accepted?
When you fill out your application, your credit card will be authorized for your membership. This is an authorization only. Until your application is reviewed and you have been accepted into the Marketplace, your payment will not be captured.
Once approved, we will process your payment and send you a welcome letter. This generally takes a couple of hours if during business hours and can take as long as 48 hours if applying on the weekend. Once you receive your welcome email- you will be able to access your Shoppe to get it set up.
What if I design products in mixed media, will I be able to open a shoppe at QNS?
Unfortunately not. QNS focus will be on textile and fiber supplies and handcrafted art (finished products). Perhaps one day soon we'll open a new marketplace for mixed media artists.
Can you please explain why I would upload my products from my website to the QNS site?
This is an easy question to answer! We wanted to build a very powerful search engine that would not only show products listed on the Quilt 'n' Stitch Marketplace site, but also include ALL the products you have on your web site. This will make it easy for shoppers to come to one place and find all the products and supplies they need, drawing from a database that includes all of your products.
What advertising is Quilt 'n' Stitch Marketplace doing?
Quilt and stitch has already been advertising for the past few months in Romantic Homes, Several Stampington and Co. publications and just recently in Quilters World and Mary Jane's farm. This Quilter's world issue was distributed at quilt market in May. We have also hired a PR rep to work with us to keep QnS in the public eye.
